About us
Educating professionals and the public about responsible wildlife control methods.
If we can teach people about wildlife, they will be touched. Let me share my wildlife with you. Because humans want to save things that they love. —Steve Irwin, Crocodile Hunter
Creating Humane Wildlife Removal Standards
Our Mission: We are dedicated primarily to educating professional pest control companies / nuisance wildlife control operators about humane wildlife removal practices, through direct outreach campaigns and training. We also aim to teach the public through information on this website. Most people and many professionals do want to treat the animals humanely - they just lack the knowledge to do so. Our group, which includes wildlife rehabbers, biologists, and former wildlife trappers, strive to provide information that is both effective and compassionate toward wildlife. Empower people to make smart choices when dealing with wildlife conflicts, and they will respond!
Education
Corporate Training - We teach humane wildlife removal techniques to those who wish to learn them. We provide classroom presentations and hands-on training for both pest control and wildlife removal
companies of all sizes. Emphasis is on effective and customer-friendly techniques that protect both customers and treat wildlife humanely. Many companies report increased earnings after switching to humane exclusions,
improved public relations, and increased customer satisfaction. Imagine that! Our training is approved by most state agriculture agencies as qualifying for continuing education training credits.
School Presentations - We provide fun, interactive presentations to local schools, children's clubs, and other organizations to promote awareness of wildlife and its important role in our ecosystem.
We stress the importance of conservation and compassion toward the wildlife in our shared urban habitat. If you would like to schedule a presentation, please contact us.
General Public - Through this website, the information on it, and the local resources posted here, we strive to educate the general public about how to make the smartest choices for resolving wildlife
conflicts. In most cases, the most humane approach is also the most effective one. We have developed an educational tool that we promote, which we call P.E.T. - Treat an unwanted wild animal with the
same compassion you would treat a pet, and use:
Prevention - Seal your house shut to keep animals out, and eliminate attractive features
Exclusion - Remove critters with one-way doors and funnels instead of cage traps
Tolerance - In many cases, you don't need to interfere with a wild animal at all
